Blog
for crying out loud
it's been a long lonely time for sure. and it feels a little strange writing to you in this one way method. but this is blogtown, and i gotta adhere to the laws of blogod.
it's good to be back, getting ready to play some shows again.

so it is true some dark soul has leaked our new album onto the internet. i have mixed feelings about this. i'm glad there's a way for people to hear our music if they like it (although, i caught a few blog comments the other day and it seems there are more against us than for us. what can you do..?). but it just feels a little off to me. i can understand getting a copy from a friend, burning a CD. but just posting it online without asking us first? that isn't such a nice move. it is a little deflating.
i know, it happens to just about every record now. was i correct in hearing they gave promo copies of the last yeah yeah yeah's album on cassette? (by the way, i love cassettes. i've been listening to neil young decade for a week or two now in the car. tapes sound so bad that they come right back around to being good again.)

anyway, if you did get a copy of the record without waiting for it or paying for it, will you at least tip the karmic scales back to the even position and donate a few bucks to a good cause? that would be nice. plant a tree and perhaps we will forgive you. perhaps. perhaps not.

regardless of all of that, we are very excited about the new album. we tried a lot of new things this time around. we have talked it over and we think it sounds best when played very loud. don't muss yer ears or nuthin, but do please give it some good volume.

your friend,
zach
